It's late in the afternoon on Halloween and a volunteer calls, frantically screaming describing the cat that had just been dropped off in the yard of her friend, "They just dropped him off and his tail is cut off and it is all infected, and he is scared!" A kind Little Orphans Animal Rescue foster agreed to take him in and get him to the vet. He was more than scared, he was emaciated and starving and, according to the vet had "every worm a cat can have." His ears were crusted with black goop and severely infected as well, among other problems. Duffy did not have his tail cut off, he is a naturally tailless cat, possibly a Manx. Duffy is negative for both FIV and FeLV.
